SCBaptists value the rich diversity that God has entrusted to our state.
However, while 26.5% of our state is African American, these 1.4 million South Carolinians are represented by less than 1% in SCBaptist churches. We celebrate the enormous progress our state and culture have made toward racial unity while we acknowledge that, under the sun, we still have a long way to go.
