The SC Feeding team in Houston, TX are cooking about 4,000 meals per day. Meals are cooked at a central site and transported in special containers called cambros by Red Cross vehicles to points of distribution. Feeding teams have to start working before sunrise to get breakfast ready. Being on a feeding team is not just stirring beans: washing & sanitizing cambros is extremely important, and moving pallets of supplies or food requires a forklift & driver.
