September 19: Gambling

More and more state governments and tribal councils have opted for easy money that gambling appears to bring. The fact is that gambling revenues decline over the years and the social costs far outweigh the few jobs that are created. In many instances, scholarship requirements change often as more students qualify for dwindling monies. Gambling leads to corruption—corruption of individuals, families, and governments.
