Prayer Guide for SCBaptist Disaster Relief

The SCBaptist Convention Disaster Relief has created a prayer guide to help individuals pray for those affected by disasters.

This guide includes specific prayer requests for survivors, first responders, and volunteers. The guide is intended to be a helpful resource for individuals and churches as they prepare for Disaster Relief Sunday and beyond.

Pray for the following:

For Surviors:

  • Pray for the physical and emotional healing of those who have been affected by disasters. Ask for the Lord to provide them with comfort and strength during this difficult time.
  • Pray for their safety and protection as they navigate the aftermath of the disaster.

For First Responders:

  • Lift up those who are on the front lines of disaster relief efforts. Ask for the Lord’s protection and guidance as they work to save lives and provide aid to those in need.
  • Pray for their strength and perseverance as they work long hours in challenging conditions.

For Volunteers:

  • Pray for those who have answered the call to serve in disaster relief efforts. Ask for the Lord to bless them with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to effectively serve those in need.
  • Pray for their safety and protection as they travel to and from disaster areas and work on relief efforts.

For Leaders:

  • Pray for the leaders of disaster relief organizations and agencies. Ask for the Lord’s guidance and wisdom as they make decisions about how best to respond to the crisis.
  • Pray for their discernment and foresight as they plan for the long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts.

For the Community:

  • Pray for the communities affected by disasters. Ask for the Lord’s peace and comfort to surround them as they begin the process of rebuilding.
  • Pray for the provision of the resources needed to support the recovery efforts, and for the strength and resilience of the community as they move forward.
