Disaster Relief Director (11/18/2021)

South Carolina Baptist Disaster Relief has a long history of demonstrating God’s love by offering immediate and tangible care to individuals impacted by storms, flooding, and other disasters.  These storm responses are in South Carolina, neighboring states, and beyond. The Disaster Relief Director will have a responsibility to lead all aspects of the South Carolina Baptist Disaster Relief ministries, which include supervising staff, relating to state and national partners, and overseeing volunteer training and deployment efforts.  As a part of the SERVE Team, the DR Director will intentionally pursue and maintain consistent relationships with SCDR Unit Leaders, including associational, church, and lay leadership. Qualifications include college graduate and seminary degree preferred and requires strong experience in disaster relief efforts and ministry leadership. Evangelism Ministry Assistant (11/8/2021)

This full-time position will work with Camp McCall in registration; payment processing; camper paperwork and help to maintain the Camp McCall website. This position will also serve as ministry assistant to the Next Generation Catalyst and assist the Evangelism Team with team events. Qualifications include preferably a college graduate or the equivalent with strong administrative, computer skills and prior work experience; relationally driven, skillful in working well with others while maintaining respect to sensitive business and personnel matters. Next Generation Mobilization Strategist (11/16/2021)

We are looking for a full-time Next Generation Mobilization Strategist to work with SC Baptist churches and mission partners to develop and mobilize youth, college students, and young adults for mission service.  Responsibilities will center on developing and administering pathways for sending South Carolina Baptist middle school, high school, university students, and young adults to serve in mission opportunities locally and globally.  A significant focus will be on the development and leadership of a new process for equipping and mobilizing college juniors and seniors to be missional leaders, called the Palmetto Collective.  For more information on the Palmetto Collective, go to www.scbaptist.org/palmettocollective.  A proven track record of serving effectively with student ministers and mission workers as well as leading students and young adults in mission projects is essential to this role. We are looking for a part-time Baptist Collegiate Minister to work with South Carolina State and Claflin Universities in the Orangeburg area. Duties include: identifying and equipping believing college students to serve as leaders who are missionaries to their campuses; working with student leaders to plan and execute successful worship gatherings, small group Bible studies, discipleship groups, and missions opportunities; leading students to plan effective campus outreach activities to engage lost students; equip and lead students to share their faith; promote and lead students to participate in statewide BCM efforts such as Converge and BCMGO missions opportunities; attend Collegiate Ministry meetings to gain further equipping and information needed to execute the role; assist associations and local churches in outreach efforts toward reaching students on the South Carolina State and Claflin University campuses; and develop and lead a local collegiate ministry advisory/support team for ministry planning and financial accountability. Next Generation Catalyst (7/15/2021)

The Next-Generation Evangelism Catalyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating productive strategies to impact the church and community of sharing hope until every life is saturated and transformed by the hope of the Gospel. Their primary role will be to share strategy to churches as a resource that impacts the next generation outside the church by relational, mass, and ministry evangelism. Special focus will also be given to building relationships with Student Ministers within the South Carolina Baptist Convention that will result in a network of soul-winning consciousness leading to baptisms and new disciples. Qualifications include college graduate and seminary degree preferred and requires strong experience in ministry leadership and a passion for the lost. Ministry Assistant – Preschool & Childhood Ministry (4/29/2021)
