Callie Thackston

Callie was born and raised in Fountain Inn, SC where she has been a member of Fountain Inn First Baptist Church all of her life. She is a 2021 graduate of the University of Alabama. Callie first felt her call to missions as a teenager on her first missions trip to Central America, and the Lord has pursued her obedience since. In 2022, she was commissioned by the IMB to serve the AMP Affinity in South America. 

Callie currently serves in university ministry in a city of over 8 million people. She, alongside her teammates and national partners, helped create and launch a platform called Gather Santiago, in which university students and young adult professionals can come and seek Christian community. Callie spends most of her time sharing the gospel on college campuses, discipling young believers, and assisting with a local church plant.

Prayer Requests:

1. Pray for the university students and young adults, that their hearts would be open to the gospel. Pray that they would recognize their own sinfulness and need for God and that they would commit their lives to Him. 
   
2. Pray for Gather Santiago, their ministry platform. Pray that the Lord would use this platform in mighty ways to reach the lost on college campuses and around the city. 
3. Pray for the young adult believers. Pray for fruitful discipleship that brings about multiplication. Pray for courage to share their faith and wisdom to lead others.
