Special Disaster Relief Training – Children’s Response Team
Join us at this special Disaster Relief training and become part of the Children’s Response Team. You’ll get the Intro to DR class (which is the starting point for all newbies) & the full Children’s Response training.
Date: Aug. 20-21, 2021
Location: Spring Valley Baptist Church, Columbia
- Friday, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. – “Introduction to Disaster Relief” class with Sue Harmon
- Saturday, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – “Children’s Response Team” class with Joy Canupp

Registration fee: $25 (at the door) which includes a hat, lanyard, badge, background check & training materials. Participants who would like to purchase a Disaster Relief (DR) T-shirt at this training need to send shirt size to Allyson when they register and add $10 to the registration fee.
At the end of our time together, you will be a credentialed DR volunteer, ready to serve in any of the Children’s Response Team (CRT) deployments. You may also want to consider attending the State DR Training in October to be cross-trained in other areas.
Note: this is the only opportunity this year to take the CRT class – it will NOT be held at the October training.
