SCDR Response to Hurricane Ian

South Carolina Disaster Relief is in our third week of serving in the wake of Hurricane Ian. We are partnering with Alabama DR at the site they are running in Arcadia, Florida. We also sent teams to the Tennessee-run site in Wauchula, Florida, and to the Missouri-run site in Venice, FL.

The SC volunteers have been serving in the following ministries:

  • Chainsaw
  • Roof Tarping
  • Mud-Out
  • Mass Feeding – feeding the public
  • Fixed-Kitchen Feeding – meals for the volunteers staying at the site

Units from SC will be in Arcadia and Venice this week and the next, with the possibility of further teams after that.
