CAMP MCCALL

Camp McCall is a camp for boys and young men between 1st and 12th grade. The camp seeks to provide a variety of experiences, from adventure-based activities to quiet contemplation that will help people experience God in a new or renewed manner. Camp McCall believes that everyone, especially men, needs adventure, adversity, and accountability in their lives. Camp McCall was established in 1960 and is held in a beautiful mountain setting in upstate South Carolina. The staff consists of 30+ college-aged young men that provide a tremendous male Christian role model.

“We believe that now, more than ever before, campers need environments where they can be free of stress and anxieties. Places where they can run, play, breathe and relax. Ultimately, they need environments that consistently point to Jesus, the true giver of freedom. We believe that our campers (young men AND adults) find all of that in the physical, emotional, and spiritual challenge & development that occurs at Camp McCall.”

– Spinner Allen, Director of Camp McCall

SUMMERSALT AND KIDSALT

SummerSalt (6th-12th grade) and KidSalt (3rd-5th grade) are high-energy summer camps for students run by the Generations Group of the South Carolina Baptist Convention. These camps are designed to grasp and captivate the next generation with the Gospel. SummerSalt was established in 1987 and both camps are held at Charleston Southern Universitybin North Charleston, SC. The staff is made up of 25-30 college students from around South Carolina and beyond.

“SummerSalt and KidSalt are centered around the hope of the gospel. No matter whether your son or daughter is a fully devoted follower of Jesus, or they are far from God, our desire is for each participant to have a life transforming experience with Jesus. Every summer, we see students place their faith in Christ, repent from lifestyles or patterns of sin, and respond to a call to ministry. We believe SummerSalt has something to offer no matter where your son or daughter is in their faith journey.”

– Bryant Laird, Director, Student Ministry
