Chaplain Training Rescheduled

Due to changing circumstances, the Disaster Relief Chaplain Training for this year has been rescheduled from May to October 13-14, 2023. The location has been shifted as well, to Catawba Baptist Church, Rock Hill, SC. We regret any inconvenience caused by these changes.

The October 13-14 Chaplain Training is a 12-hour course. It will be held on the same weekend and at the same place as the regular Fall DR Training. Because it is a separate event, however, there will be a separate registration process for the Chaplain Training. More details will be provided soon on the Disaster Relief web page, including instructions for how to register.

The nature of the chaplain position means it requires more in-depth training than other Disaster Relief roles. Therefore, there are prerequisites that must be met before a volunteer is eligible to register for the 12-hour Chaplain Training. Click the button below for a list of those prerequisites.

If you have questions, please contact the Disaster Relief office at 803-227-6149.
