Action Alert – H5399 Goes To The Senate

On Tuesday, the South Carolina Senate Medical Affairs Committee removed the rape and incest exceptions from H5399.  The only exception left is the well-defined life of the mother, with the conditions specifically spelled out in the language of the bill.

On Wednesday, September 7 at 10:00 am, the full Senate will debate H5399.  We are close to passing the most restrictive abortion law in South Carolina history.  Your calls to your Senator are needed today to encourage them to pass H5399 to protect life in the womb.

Please respectfully remind your Senator that the South Carolina Baptist Convention has passed a number of resolutions encouraging our lawmakers to protect life beginning at conception.  Roe V. Wade is gone…now it is up to us in South Carolina to protect life.

Go to  www.scstatehouse.gov.  If you know your Senator you can go to the Senate page and select “members” to find your Senator.  If you don’t know your Senator you can fill out the “find your legislator” form on the bottom left of the home page.

Thank you for being informed and engaged in the fight for life!

He must increase, I must decrease
