Peter and Tia Townsend

Peter grew up in South Carolina and was an RA, even working at Camp McCall for 10 years. Peter was sent by SC Baptists in 2011 to work with Muslim peoples in Sub-Saharan Africa for several years. After marrying Tia, SC Baptists commissioned their family to work among the unreached in Central Asia in 2016. Peter and Tia have 3 children, 9, 7 and 4. They recently landed in a new country, seeking to engage the Muslim Central Asia people groups in the area. There are no known believers among their people and no evangelical church.

Prayer Requests:

• Pray for Peter and Tia as they seek to build relationships and share the Gospel with the many lost around them.
• Pray for their family as they are transitioning to this new place- pray for friendships for everyone and a deep connection with people.
• Pray for the stark contrast between people groups in their city to not divide people but that the Gospel will unite people in Christ’s love. Pray that together Peter and Tia and their national partners will declare Christ’s love in word and deed.
