Let’s Dream Again – IMPACT 2022
This article was featured in the February 2022 edition of The Baptist Courier.
Gene Cernan prepared to climb the ladder to the lunar module one last time. The date was December 14, 1972.
“This is Gene, and I’m on the surface; and, as I take man’s last step from the surface, back home for some time to come – but we believe not too long into the future – I’d like to just (say) what I believe history will record: that America’s challenge of today has forged man’s destiny of tomorrow. And, as we leave the Moon at Taurus–Littrow, we leave as we came and, God willing, as we shall return, with peace and hope for all mankind. Godspeed the crew of Apollo 17.”
This month, 50 years later, we return – but it isn’t the moon that is in our sights. The moon will serve as a launching pad to Mars.
We believe that God does not want us to get back to where we were, but rather, wants us to go beyond where we ever dreamed we could go. The IMPACT conference will be a day to inspire and fuel you to advance. Our focus that day will be to capitalize on our current circumstances to accelerate the advance of the Great Commission.
Our prayer is that this one day will inspire you to dream of a greater Advance to instill peace and hope in the hearts of those far from God in 2022. We advance forward until every life is saturated and transformed with the hope of the Gospel.
