The Deaf of Gambia number 25,000 people. They have no access to the Bible or opportunities to learn the truth about who Jesus is in their sign language. There are a few Deaf Gambian believers, but they are scattered and live secluded from hearing people in their community. In 2023, several Deaf from Gambia attended a Scripture translation camp with other West Africans, where they saw Bible stories signed in their own language for the first time.
