BCMGO Eligibility Requirements

Who We Are Looking For

Serving as a BCMGO Missionary is more than simply meeting a list of requirements—it’s about exploring and living out a calling. We look to send students and young adults who are passionate about Christ, devoted to His Church, and willing to step into new places that desperately need the Gospel.

What It Means to Serve

This opportunity is designed for those who want to grow as disciples while making disciples. BCMGO missionaries are sent to campuses, communities, and contexts all around the world, carrying the Gospel of Jesus with boldness and humility. As a missionary, you’ll be stretched, encouraged, and equipped to live on mission in everyday life.

What We Value in a Missionary

  • Spiritual maturity – We seek individuals who are walking daily with Christ, grounded in Scripture, and willing to share their faith openly and joyfully.

  • Church and BCM involvement – Missionaries are not called in isolation. We believe in serving in partnership with the local church and the Baptist Collegiate Ministry community.

  • Commitment to our shared beliefs – Affirming the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 ensures unity in Gospel truth and ministry practice.

  • Whole-life health – Mission work can be demanding. Being spiritually, physically, and emotionally healthy enables missionaries to thrive and to serve others well.

  • Faith-driven service – Missionaries step out in faith, trusting God to provide prayer and financial partners for support.

  • Preparedness and reliability – A willingness to attend training, communicate clearly, and follow through on commitments reflects both maturity and readiness for Kingdom work.

Why This Matters

Every BCMGO missionary plays a role in seeing lives transformed by the Gospel. By accepting an assignment, you are not only serving for a season—you are being shaped for a lifetime of ministry, wherever God leads.
