VBS Expo: Equipping Church Leaders for a Fun and Gospel-filled Summer

The Vacation Bible School (VBS) Expo is the premier training event that equips church leaders with the essentials they need to organize a VBS program for kids and families during the summer. Katie Finley of Warrenton Presbyterian Church explains, “In today’s world, the Gospel is not always the first thing that comes to children’s minds, so VBS is a crucial Gospel opportunity for churches.”

She says, “VBS is not just a week of fun activities, but an opportunity to show kids that religion and church can be enjoyable and exciting. By creating a fun and engaging environment, VBS can combat the distractions of screens and technology and demonstrate that what they are doing in a small or big church is just as fun as what the media is promoting.”

For every leader trained at the VBS Expo, it is estimated that 1.1 salvations with kids can be achieved. This is why the South Carolina Baptist Convention is committed to training leaders in the state. By attending the Expo, leaders will be equipped with the tools they need to make their VBS program a success and to impact the lives of children and families in their communities.

The VBS Expo is a week of hands-on training, workshops, and networking opportunities with other leaders in the state. By participating in this event, church leaders will learn how to create a safe, fun, and gospel-centered environment for children. They will also have access to a variety of resources, including curriculum options, promotional materials, and training guides.

The VBS Expo is an essential event for church leaders who want to make a difference in the lives of children and families in their communities. By attending this event, leaders will be equipped with the skills and resources they need to organize a successful VBS program that is both fun and Gospel-filled.
