As Director of Church Strategies with the Shepherd Team, James Nugent equips leaders to strengthen each church across our state so that every life can have an opportunity to respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He began serving part time with SCBaptist in June 2013 as a church health strategist while also serving as a Transitional Pastor before joining the team full time in 2016 to build strategies to help churches across the state have a hopeful future. He is a graduate of Clemson University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Elizabeth, and they have two sons.
