Dr. Brian Saxon is the Shepherd Team Leader, where he works to serve in supporting churches in revitalization and helps pastors develop their leadership skills to fulfill their calling in the local church. Brian has been a part of the South Carolina Baptist Convention since May 2024. Prior to working for the Convention, he served on the Nomination Committee and chaired the Resolutions Committee. He was also on the Board of Charleston Southern University and Connie Mawell Children’s Ministries. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University, a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Southeastern Theological Seminary. He has served as a pastor for over 28 years in churches in South Carolina. Brian is married to Lesley, and they have two daughters.
