As Chief Financial Officer of the South Carolina Baptist Convention, Don Mowry supports and fosters ministries of SCBaptists through financial expertise with integrity and accountability that inspires a culture of excellence, strengthening the bond of trust and confidence in the value of cooperative work. Prior to serving the South Carolina Baptist Convention in 2025, Don was a partner at EY where he served clients for 35 years. Don brings extensive experience as an advisor to C-suite executives and boards of financial services companies operating locally, nationally and globally. Most recently, in his role as Global Client Service Partner and regional leader of EY’s financial services advisory business, Don built leadership teams, redefined service delivery, elevated execution standards and strengthened client partnerships leading to a dominant market position.

Don is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh. Don also successfully completed the Journey to the Boardroom program developed by EY and Harvard Business Publishing, and Northwestern University’s Kellogg Leadershp Development Program. Don actively uses his knowledge and experience in serving local organizations including his local church and various community oriented nonprofit organizations. Don and his wife, Robin, have two children.
