Varese of the Solomon Islands
The Solomon Islands in the South Pacific are a travel destination for people to enjoy fishing, beaches, and local history. The Varese (Var-EE-see) people live on the coast of one of the main islands. This area is prone to natural disasters. The people are some of the poorest in the Asia- Pacific Rim. The Varese are Roman Catholic, but few of them have read the Word of God. Instead, they trust in the words of bishops or priests, and bow down to saints they believe will protect them. They don’t know Jesus as the Lord of lords.
