The South Carolina Baptist Convention has a desire to invest in the next generation of college students/young adults to help them experience the power of cooperative mission and ministry and introduce them to the Baptist ministry being accomplished across our state and world.
We have several short-term positions available this fall:
- Children’s Ministry Catalysts will assist in weekly strategy meetings; planning and implementation of scheduled events; attend leadership development training; complete tasks assigned by local church and submit snapshots of weekly goals and achievements.
- Creative Catalysts will assist with all production phases and distribution of audio, video, design, written or photo content and assist with regional on-location live events.
- Share Team Catalysts will participate in planning and implementing a relational evangelism strategy with a partnering church and association; and work one-on-one with a mentor in areas specifically related to neighboring, women’s ministry, youth evangelism, or college ministry. Please indicate on the application which is preferred.
- Worship Catalysts will assist with the management of online social media and website content; assist with regional on-location live events; work with Baptist colleges to promote job opportunities and internships with the SCBC; and help create a directory of worship leaders across the state.
Each catalyst will be assigned a mentor from the supervising team and have the opportunity to learn through a hands-on approach of “learning by doing.” The catalysts will help to educate the South Carolina Baptist Convention staff on best practices in identifying Gen Z leaders in order to engage the next generation.
