Literacy missions ministries are administered by the National Literacy Missions Partnership for the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and Send Relief.
The partnership assists NAMB and Southern Baptist state conventions in training, supporting, and promoting literacy missions ministries.
Adult Reading and Writing
Help adults improve basic reading and writing skills.
Tutoring Children and Youth
Help children and youth with schoolwork.
English as a Second Language
Help non-native speakers improve their English language skills.
Host a Workshop
Workshops are available to train volunteers for each of these ministry opportunities. In South Carolina, training is offered in two formats:
- Hybrid Model: 8 hours of online work followed by a 5-hour, in-person session.
- In-Person Model: 12-hour workshop typically completed over multiple days.
