Coastal Church Planting Catalyst
The South Carolina Baptist Convention is seeking a full-time Coastal Church Planting Catalyst to serve with the SendSC Church Planting Team. This position exists to help fulfill the mission of “churches planting churches everywhere for everyone” by catalyzing a culture of church multiplication across South Carolina’s coastal regions. Working alongside pastors, associational leaders, church planters, and strategic partners, the Coastal Church Planting Catalyst will help identify opportunities for new churches, strengthen multiplying churches, and advance a comprehensive church planting strategy.
South Carolina’s coastal communities continue to experience significant population growth and demographic change, creating strategic opportunities for Gospel engagement through new churches. The Coastal Church Planting Catalyst will work to encourage and equip existing SCBaptist churches to become multiplying churches, build meaningful relationships with current, prospective, and alumni church planters, and partner with local associations to identify communities where new churches are needed. This role also includes ownership of a key step in the SendSC Church Planting Pathway and communicating the vision and importance of church planting throughout the state.
The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and be pursuing master’s-level training from an accredited seminary. Candidates should have church planting experience. Applicants should embrace the mission, vision, and core values of the South Carolina Baptist Convention, demonstrate a commitment to promoting the Cooperative Program, and uphold the highest standards of Christian character and ethical conduct.
We offer excellent benefits including paid time off, retirement, health insurance, and life insurance for this full-time position. If you are interested, please submit your résumé to HR_user@scbaptist.org.
