“At Connie Maxwell, we had the privilege of walking alongside kids who have experienced deep hardships. We played with them, prayed with them, listened to their stories, and shared meals together. Some days were hard—but over and over again, we were reminded that while we can’t fix their situations, we can love them like Jesus does. And sometimes, that’s the most powerful thing we can offer. When we both said “yes” to this opportunity, we didn’t know exactly what God had in store—but we’re so thankful we trusted Him. What we found was not only a summer of service, but a season of growth, faith, and deep connection with the children and each other.”
