SCBaptist Creative Cohorts are regionally based discipleship collectives for creative leaders.

Each cohort will rally around growth and development, discipleship, fellowship, pastoral care, and networking. Whether you are a volunteer leader at a church plant or full-time on staff at a multi-site megachurch, Creative Cohorts are open to creative leaders who help achieve the church’s creative vision.

There is no cost to join a cohort.

Each Creative Cohort will have a facilitator, who will help the group stay on track by asking questions and guiding the conversation toward the goal(s) of each cohort. 

Additionally, we would ask the Creative Cohort facilitator to let SCBaptist staff know what topics, challenges, and needs the local churches are facing and how SCBaptist staff can serve members and churches regarding those items.

While "talking shop" is always great, we encourage Creative Cohorts to dedicate time and conversations around fellowship, discipleship, and technical subjects.

While Creative Cohort members are not asked to sign anything to participate, each member should agree to the following expectations.

• Creative Cohorts are safe places to talk.
• Don’t share sensitive information outside your Creative Cohort.
• Keep the main thing the main thing. While participants will disagree, don’t let disagreements distract from the Gospel.
• Don’t be the person who talks the most (and If you can’t think of the person who talks the most, then it’s probably you).

The size of a Creative Cohort should be a minimum of three consistent participants, but beyond ten participants, you need to consider multiplying the cohort.

Creative Cohorts have flexibility for meeting locations. Some ideas of where your Creative Cohort could meet are at a coffee shop, a local restaurant in the back room, an associational building, or the SCBaptist building. 

While the length of time can vary, we suggest the Creative Cohort meets for 1.5 to 2 hours. This should give plenty of time to focus on the three areas of fellowship, discipleship, and technology. 

Additionally, each Creative Cohort determines how frequently they will meet. With that said, we suggest that Creative Cohorts meet at least once a quarter, but the cohort is welcome to meet monthly, or even weekly, if desired.
