Messengers and guests to the 2018 Annual Meeting of the South Carolina Baptist Convention met together for worship at Mother Emanuel AME Church in downtown Charleston Tuesday night. Under the theme “Building Bridges,” the service took place during the annual meeting which was being hosted by Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in North Charleston. Overflow seating was held at neighboring Citadel Square Church.

Choir members of First Church Charleston and Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in North Charleston led in the worship experience, which included Dr. Ronnie Floyd, senior pastor of Cross Church in Arkansas, Rev. Anthony Thompson, pastor of Holy Trinity Reformed Episcopal Church in Charleston, and Dr. Walter Strickland, of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary as guest speakers.
