On March 1, 2008, the South Carolina Baptist Convention Ministry to Women held a one-day training on how to disciple others one-on-one using the Mentoring 101series. After this training, the Ministry to Women leadership team began the mentoring process by targeting women leaders within South Carolina. The Discipleship Multiplication Tree (below) illustrates the progress that has been made up to this date.

Currently there are approximately 50 women (and 6 men) involved in the mentoring process using Mentoring 101. These women represent 20 churches, one university, and one corporation. There are five generations of mentees and growth continues to take place as women “hear” how God is impacting lives spiritually to impact the kingdom. All mentoring takes place in one-on-one settings. Women meet where it is convenient and conducive for the purpose: libraries, coffee shops, restaurants, book stores, churches, and houses.

This process has been instrumental in facilitating spiritual growth in the participants, as well as, building a more intimate relationship with God and with other women. Women have been able to better grasp the basics of their faith and more confidently evangelize. If you would like more information on this process please contact:
