Update on Hurricane Hermine Impact

 In Disaster Relief

Updated 9-3-16:

Volunteers are needed in South Carolina – because of Hermine, there is an URGENT NEED for volunteers to assist with placing (or replacing) tarps on the many roofs that are still awaiting repairs from last fall’s flood rains. ~ Rain like we experienced last fall can do as much damage to a roof as a hailstorm. Hermine only made things worse. ~ Anyone who can give a day or two (or longer) to help with tarping is urged to contact sueharmon@scbaptist.org

At the current time, out-of-state assistance is not needed by Florida Baptist Disaster Relief. They are setting up a kitchen in Tallahassee and their recovery teams are preparing to work in the Cedar Key area.

Please continue to pray for those in the continuing path of Hermine.  Coastal flooding looks to be severe in NC and VA with warnings up to the Jersey coast.

Since all southeastern states are currently involved in the response to the recent Louisiana flood, additional response to Hermine will mean ALL UNITS stepping up to the plate if we are asked to respond in other states.
