Sharing Your VBS Results
By Sue Harmon
One of the follow-up tasks after VBS is to report your results. No matter what theme or curriculum you use, we want to hear from you!
Why?
The information from VBS Reports is used to “tweak” future materials and training helps, and gives a picture of the effectiveness of Bible School as an outreach and evangelism ministry. For example, because of VBS reporting, we know that for every VBS held, there is an average of four professions of faith! Knowing this has led us to more strongly emphasize the evangelistic potential of VBS, which hopefully will lead to even more people experiencing Kingdom life!
How?
There are two ways to share your VBS results: online or on paper.
Paper Reports – three places to find a report form are:
1. In the mail - each church is mailed a personalized VBS Report Form in May or June by LifeWay. Fill it out and mail or fax it back!
2. In LifeWay’s VBS Administrative Guide – on page 55.
3. In LifeWay’s VBS Administrative Guide – on the CD-ROM, in the “Director’s Helps” section.
Online Reports – Instructions for how to report online through the Southern Baptist Directory Service (SBDS) are found on the paper VBS Report form. If you need assistance, contact Paula at sbds.admin@lifeway.com.
Beyond the Numbers
Attach a note to your report or send an email to sueharmon@scbaptist.org and tell us what was great about your church’s Bible School! Let us rejoice with you in your VBS successes!
