What is a VBS Link-Up?

In the VBS Link-Up Plan, a church that has the resources and the desire to help another church plan and conduct a Vacation Bible School is “linked” to a church needing help. The sponsoring church may:

  • Provide resources such as curriculum or theme-related visuals.
  • Provide leaders to assist in planning, teaching, and/or worship experiences.
  • Conduct combined training sessions for the faculty in both churches.
  • Assist in follow-up actions after the VBS is held.

The recipient church will:

  • Enlist as much leadership from within the church as possible.
  • Work with the sponsoring church to plan and organize the VBS.
  • Advertise the VBS in the church and community.
  • Prepare the church building for the Vacation Bible School .
  • Conduct follow-up actions such as contacting prospects and sending reports.

For assistance in sponsoring or receiving a Link-Up, contact your local Director of Missions or your Associational VBS Director.
