Where Does My Church Start?
Determine what type of budgeting you are currently doing:
1. Church treasurer handles all money. No formalized budget or reports.
2. Line Item Budget-Multiple budgets in a listing format. Reports are prepared.
3. Ministry Action budget-This type of budgeting starts with the vision and mission of the church. Listed topically by ministries.
If your church is currently not doing a budget or a line item budget, consider starting or moving to the Ministry Action Budget.
If needed, develop a Church Mission Statement.
Create a Stewardship Ministry Team which will be composed of three sections:
1. Stewardship Education & Promotion
2. Church Ministry Budget Development
3. Estate Stewardship
