Summer Missions provides ministry opportunities across South Carolina for 6-10 weeks during the summer for high school and college students and adults. Positions for 2009 are available in children's ministry, children and youth community ministry, resort ministry, construction, evangelism, sports ministry and many other areas.

This retreat is for chaplains and their spouses. Dates are Monday-Tuesday, September 28-29, 2009. Accredited training through CISM will be offered.

South Carolina Connection links mission volunteers with South Carolina churches and associations to reach SC for Christ. Volunteer opportunities are listed by type of project. Requests may be for groups or individuals, adults, youth or families volunteering to share the love of Jesus here in South Carolina. Churches or ministries can fill out a request form to list their specific mission projects on the website.

The Acts 1:8 Challenge is an opportunity for Southern Baptist churches to declare their commitment to a comprehensive missions strategy in their Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and world. In doing so, a church invites its Acts 1:8 partners-their association, state convention, NAMB and IMB-to assist them.

The Christmas Packet for Prisoners Project began in 1976.It is a joint project of SCBC and SCWMU. As the project has grown, our churches continue to give faithfully and generously.Last year, you helped raise over 26,682 packets. All the extra packets were given to inmates who arrived after the distribution date. Will you help with this project this year?

Literacy Missions is ministries that teach English to non-English speakers (ESL and EFL), help adults read and write English (ARW), and help children and youth do better in school (TCY).
