Jesus said, “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the Ends of the Earth."
In Acts 1 verse 8, Jesus shared his vision for reaching the world by mobilizing his Church to reach people near and far. An Acts 1:8 strategy seeks to develop partnerships in all areas as God leads and provides.
To the disciples the “ends of the earth” was unknown at that time. Today we can travel the world at the speed of sound and communicate with anyone anywhere through a wireless device in the palm of our hand. We know that 1.6 billion people still have little to no access to the Gospel in their language. Yet the call to go and make disciples of ALL nations is a call we must obey.
Through our International Mission Board partners we have many opportunities to accomplish the Great Commission. By leading a team, or joining a team; going short-term or long-term, the choice to follow God’s call is up to you.
"Due to current and potential increased travel restrictions, we are discouraging all volunteer teams from travel to the countries affected by the Ebola virus outbreak. We encourage you to work with the leadership on the ground to determine when it might be appropriate to reschedule the trip or to find alternate places of service at this time."
