The first Sunday in August is set aside to highlight various issues confronting Christians in today's society. Each year the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention, chooses a topic to highlight under the Social Issues heading. You may want to focus on an issue that is particular to your community. Some issues to consider are: domestic violence, abstinence, homosexuality, pornography, healthcare, or senior adult issues.
