Covenant Checklist

Pre-assessment: www.sctracking.org

The online process includes biographical information, PLACE assessment, resume, and thirty questions to help us get you thinking about what God is calling you to do.

Quest: Explore Church Planting
Although not required, this one-day overview of the basics of church planting has been proven to be an invaluable part of the deployment process.

Behavioral Interview
Planter singles and couples discover strengths and areas that need development through a four-hour interview led by trained assessors.  Further recommendations will be made based on the overall results of the interview.

Church Planter Training
Church Planter Training is designed and presented by successful practitioners.  Three days of critical pre-deployment training will help you and your team design action plans for a healthy, evangelistic, multiplying new church.  Full participation of the lead church planter is required to be considered for funding.

Church Affiliation with the SCBC
Officially join over 2000 SC Baptist Convention churches committed to changing the world for Jesus Christ!  Go to
www.scmultiply.org, follow the affiliation link, complete the form, and mail your first contribution to the Cooperative Program.

Local Associational/Director of Missions Endorsement
The local Director of Missions is a key part of this missionary process.  SCBC Covenant (funded) New Churches work in cooperation and in support of local Baptist associations.  The blessings and guidance of the local DOM and association is an essential part of the covenant process.

Primary Partner Church
The Primary Partner Church is the local resource for prayer, encouragement, and partnership for the new church.  Each new church will secure at least one partner church from their local association to receive funds on behalf of the new church plant.

Complete & Return SCBC Covenant Packet
Covenant packets include the necessary forms and agreements through the North American Mission Board and the South Carolina Baptist Convention to continue consideration for funding.  Packets are available through your local Director of Missions or the Church Multiplication Office.
