In the Historical Room, you can see photographs of the men who led the Convention during times of war, reconstruction, abundance and want. Through it all they sought to lead and to represent the witness of South Carolina Baptists to our state and the world.

South Carolina Baptist Convention Building
Currently on display in the Historical Room are pictures of men who served as elected head of the South Carolina Baptist Convention from 1866 – 2007. Starting with J.O.B. Dargan whose title was General Agent to B. Carlisle Driggers who retired as Executive Director-Treasurer in 2007, you will see the faces of men who led the Convention during times of war, reconstruction, abundance and want. Through it all they sought to lead and to represent the witness of South Carolina Baptists to our state and the world. Several of the pictures have recently been located in church histories. The display will be available through the end of June 2010.
Other resources you will find available are Convention annuals and copies of The Baptist Courier along with church and association histories. A microfilm reader is available for use. Microfilm of Convention Annuals dating to 1821 will be accessible for research as well as The Baptist Courier.
