Pray for Lost People
God wants Christians to pray for all people. Paul writes, "First of all, then, I urge that requests, and prayers, intercession and thanksgivings, be made for everyone---- for kings and all those in authority" (1 Timothy
2:1-2).
Do you pray for the salvation of people like that—those who disagree with you politically, those who advocate ungodly agendas, those who openly embrace sin and reject the Scripture?
Spring forward into the New Year by interceding for those beyond your inner circle of friends. Use the following examples below and pray for a lost person this year:
“God is not willing that ______________ should perish, but that he/she should come to repentance.”
“God desires for _____________ to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
Father, uproot the strongholds in _________’s life (1Cor. 10:3-5).
Father, enlighten ____________’s mind to understand the gospel (2 Cor. 4:3-4).
Father, draw _________ to Christ (John 6:44)
Father, provide opportunities to witness to ___________ (1 Peter 3:15).
Father, fill me with compassion, and enable me to see __________ through your eyes (Matthew 9:36).
Make a COMMITMENT to pray for lost people this year.
Prayer of Dedication: Lord, I ___________ (your name) commit myself to you this year to faithfully offer prayers on behalf of lost people that I know and others that come my way. Help me each day to remember those that do not know you as King of Kings. Amen.
