S.C Disaster Relief team activated to Missouri
The North American Mission Board today activated South Carolina Disaster Relief teams to Waynesville, Mo. to assist victims of ice storms blanketing the Midwest.
Assessment, shower, feeding and chainsaw teams have started departing for the region. Teams are expected to assist people displaced from their homes due to widespread power outages from the storms.
The North American Mission Board has also activated teams from other states to areas in Oklahoma and additional parts of Missouri.
Winter storms swept through the Midwest and Southwest this weekend and the early part of the week, leaving thousands of homes without power. Inclement weather is again expected next week in the same part of the country.
