Monty Hale, new Director of the Pastoral Ministries group for the SC Baptist Convention, began his duties April 4.  Hale previously held a similar position with the Missouri Baptist Convention.

The Pastoral Ministries group offers a variety of services to churches, many originated as need for support arose among churches, pastors and staff.

“Over the last decade we have developed a cadre of services for pastors and their support systems,” said Reggie McNeal, Director of Leadership Development office.

In his new role, Hale will head a myriad of support services not only for pastors, but for their families and other staff and church members.

The group maintains a service which allows individuals seeking employment with churches to post their resumes, then makes the resumes available to churches with open staff positions.

Consultants are available to assist churches in conflict management as well as churches who are in need of emergency transitional aid in forced termination situations.

Specialists are also available for support in pastoral interim periods as well as training for pastor search committees.

A state-wide counseling network is available at a discounted rate for pastors, staff and their families.
