Founder of SC Equestrian Ministries honored at Horseman’s Council Annual Meeting
 
The Reverend Dr. John Richard McDuffie of Aiken, founder and consultant of the SC Equestrian Ministries (SCEM), was posthumously awarded the “Mark of Distinction” by SCEM. McDuffie passed away December 24, 2006.
 
The award was presented to McDuffie’s wife, Lynette, February 10 at the SC Horseman’s Council Annual Meeting and Expo at Circle M Ranch in Pelzer, SC. 
 
The SC Horseman’s Council also named McDuffie the 2007 SC Horseman of the Year. 
 
McDuffie served as a consultant for the SC Baptist Convention in equestrian ministries and also assisted in planting Happy Trails Church in Pelzer, S.C.
