Columbia, SC -
The South Carolina Baptist Religious Educators Association (SCBREA) will hold a special dinner meeting prior to the annual meeting on Monday, Nov. 10, at 6:30 p.m. at Riverland Hills Church in Columbia.
The dinner is $15 per person, and is open to SCBREA members and non-members alike. During the meeting, South Carolina Baptist Convention representatives will present Empowering Kingdom Growth University (EKG-U) - a learning community specializing in leadership development for church staff – and how it can be used by those involved in SCBREA.
EKG-U offers professional learning development opportunities, coaching and leadership resources to South Carolina Baptist pastors and church staff. Those enrolled in EKG-U will receive access to premier learning opportunities including online resources, career development exercises, cluster groups and a personal learning coach assigned to map goals and chart individual progress.
According to Roger Orman, team leader for the Congregational Spiritual Development Team, SCBC, it is essential for ministers to find encouragers who understand their ministry. “SCBREA facilitates common ministers coming together to learn from and to encourage one another,” Orman said.
Riverland Hills Church is located at 500 St. Andrews Road in Columbia.
