Thomas H. Westmoreland Summer Music Camp Scholarship

A limited number of $50.00 scholarships will be available for Youth MusicArts Track/SummerSalt, KidSalt-Music Track (includes KidChoir & a music class) , and Children's Music Mini-Camp. Scholarships are determined by financial need and are applied directly to the cost of the camp. Application deadline will be April 30, 2016. GENERAL INFORMATION

Qualifications – Mini-Camp is open to children active in your church who are completing K5-2nd grade in the 2015-16 school year.

Registration Forms must be completed in full. A $50 deposit for campers and chaperones must accompany each registration. Registrations received after May 15 will be assessed a $15 late fee. Refund Policy: There will be NO refund for cancellations.

Chaperones – Churches are required to provide competent chaperones 21 years of age or older. Send one chaperone for every 1-3 boys and 1-3 girls. Music Mini-Camp Chaperones will ABSOLUTELY NOT be permitted to chaperone KidSalt participants since that is a separate camp.

Adult Background Screenings: Every effort will be made to ensure that everyone who comes to camp has a fun and safe stay; therefore, a yearly background check MUST be completed on EVERY ADULT 18 years or older WHO ATTENDS our Children's Music Camps. Your registration will not be complete, nor your camp date secured, until all adults in your group have been screened and approved by the South Carolina Baptist Convention. Worship Music MiniCamp rainbow activities Worship is an important part of Music Camp. Each day there will be worship experiences tailored to this age group.

Choir – All campers will sing in the Camp Choir. A musical has been carefully selected and will be appropriate to the musical abilities of 1st and 2nd graders.Music MiniCamp promo pic 2

Recreation – Afternoon recreational activities include swimming, crafts, the Gift Shop, ping pong and videos.

Concert – Camp concludes with a concert on Wednesday.

FACULTY

Mini-Camp Faculty is comprised of Ministers of Music, Music Directors and Children’s Choir leaders from across the state. All are qualified musicians and dedicated church leaders who are sensitive to the musical, spiritual and emotional needs of children.

COST/REGISTRATION for 2016

By May 15, 2016: $99.00 for campers; $99.00 for chaperones
After May 15, 2016: $114.00 for campers; $114.00 for chaperones
A deposit of $50.00 per person is required with registration.

Refund Policy: There will be NO refund for cancellations.

To Register by Mail:

  1. Print off the Children's Music Mini-Camp Forms. Print off enough copies of the Registration form to complete one for every camper AND chaperone. 
  2. Mail all forms and deposits/payments to the Music Mini-Camp, Worship & Music Office, 190 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC

To Register Online:

  1. Go to the website to complete payment for camp: Music Mini-Camp Online registration
  2. Print off the Children's Music Mini-Camp Forms. Print off enough copies of the Registration form to complete one for every camper AND chaperone.
  3. Fax all forms to 803-799-1044 or email to janetaltman@scbaptist.org

WOCC Participant Forms: If you need an extra, or did not receive the triplicate White Oak Participant Health Form, please print off  WOCC Participant Form.pdf  The original form is a 8 1/2 x 14 triple carbon form. You will need to bring 3 copies to Check-In of the completed form for each person staying at White Oak for our overnight events.
