Children's Music Mini-Camp

Thomas H. Westmoreland Summer Music Camp Scholarship

A limited number of $50.00 scholarships will be available for Youth MusicArts Camp, Resonate Kids Camp-Music Track , and Children's Music Mini-Camp. Scholarships are determined by financial need and are applied directly to the cost of the camp. Application deadline will be April 30, 2015. GENERAL INFORMATION

Qualifications – Mini-Camp is open to children active in your church who are completing 1st or 2nd grade in the 2014-15 school year.

Registration Forms must be completed in full. A $50 deposit for campers and chaperones must accompany each registration. Registrations received after May 15 will be assessed a $15 late fee. Refund Policy: There will be NO refund for cancellations.

Chaperones – Churches are required to provide competent chaperones 21 years of age or older. Send one chaperone for every 1-3 boys and 1-3 girls. Music Mini-Camp Chaperones will not be permitted to chaperone Young Musicians Camp participants.

Adult Background Screenings: Every effort will be made to ensure that everyone who comes to camp has a fun and safe stay; therefore, a yearly background check MUST be completed on EVERY ADULT 18 years or older WHO ATTENDS our Children's Music Camps. Your registration will not be complete, nor your camp date secured, until all adults in your group have been screened and approved by the South Carolina Baptist Convention. Worship – Worship is an important part of Music Camp. Each day there will be worship experiences tailored to this age group.

Choir – All campers will sing in the Camp Choir. A musical has been carefully selected and will be appropriate to the musical abilities of 1st and 2nd graders.

Recreation – Afternoon recreational activities include swimming, crafts, the Gift Shop, ping pong and videos.

 Concert – Camp concludes with a concert on Friday at 11:15 AM.

FACULTY

Mini-Camp Faculty is comprised of Ministers of Music, Music Directors and Children’s Choir leaders from across the state. All are qualified musicians and dedicated church leaders who are sensitive to the musical, spiritual and emotional needs of children.

COST/REGISTRATION for 2015

By May 15, 2015: $89.00 for campers; $99.00 for chaperones
After May 15, 2015: $104.00 for campers; $114.00 for chaperones
A deposit of $50.00 per person is required with registration.

1. Print off the Children's Music Mini-Camp Registration Form. Print off enough copies to complete one for every camper AND chaperone.  
2. Complete the Music Mini-Camp Lodging Form.
3. Mail all forms and deposits/payments to the Music Mini-Camp, Worship & Music Office, 190 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC
