“Now the One who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will provide and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness.” (2 Corinthians 9:10 HCSB)

Believing it is God’s desire for His disciples to multiply and for His church to multiply, the South Carolina Baptist Convention has elevated within her organization a team to focus on this biblical principle of multiplication. While many understand the principle of addition, and it has appeared the strategy of the church really has been about addition, the principles of Christ call for ‘multiplication.’

Over the next months this team will expand the work of the convention staff in this area. An Associate Executive Director is now being sought to give guidance to the work. The team will be made up of Church Multiplication (church planting), Collegiate Ministry, and People Groups. Coming to the biblical understanding of multiplication will result in more people coming to know Jesus as their personal Saviour and more healthy churches started.
