Wayne Terry joined our staff in July to lead the Multiplication Team of SCBC. Wayne had previously served as the team leader for Church Planting with the Tennessee Baptist Convention. He is originally from Inman, SC, and considers First Baptist Church, Campobello his home church.

This team was created in view of the fact that with each passing year the population of our state becomes larger and more diverse. More and more people are choosing to make South Carolina the place they want to invest their lives. As our population changes so does the challenge of taking an age-old message to a changing demographic and lifestyle. Our changing communities require our churches to think more like mission strategists than ever before.

The mandate of the Great Commission is to take the Good News to all people, and the Multiplication Team is here to assist our churches and associations in taking on this missionary challenge. We are here to help our churches:

·        identify un-reached and under-reached groups of people in our communities,

·        develop strategies for building networks among these people groups for communicating the Gospel,

·        bring new believers from these groups together for ongoing disciple making, and

·        raise up indigenous leadership among all groups of people in order to multiply the number of disciples and churches across South Carolina.
