Often the phrase South Carolina Baptist Convention is used to mean different things. 

• At times one is referencing the 2070 plus churches - each autonomous.
  
  
• Other times someone is referring to the convention building and the staff that works out of the building in Columbia -which is under the direction of the Executive Board whose members are elected annually by the messengers of the churches. 
  
  
• And still other times, the reference is all of the above (the staff, churches, and partners in ministry).

It is important to note that each of the Partners in Ministry has its own board giving direction and responsible for the ministry of that institution.  The Baptists of South Carolina are proud of the ministries begun many years ago that are still impacting lives.  From the children to university students to the aged adults, Baptists care.  To learn more about each of the Partners in Ministry, a link has been provided for each institution in the column to the left.
