Robert (Bobby) Keating was born at Ft. Bragg, NC. His early years were spent in Bennettsville, SC. After attending USC in Columbia, SC, Pastor Bobby studied at the National University of Greece in Athens. He studied culinary arts in Lyon, France before beginning his career as Chef aboard private and charter mega-yachts.
While traveling the word aboard some of the most famous mega-yachts, Bobby became an alcoholic and habitual drug user. He was delivered from the bondage of addiction by the grace of Jesus Christ and entered the ministry.
Bobby ministered as associate pastor at Stevens Memorial in Bennettsville before taking a pastoral position at New Covenant Fellowship in Camden, SC where he pastored before becoming an evangelist.
God placed a real burden on Bobby’s heart to help those suffering from bondage. He has lead revivals as well as preached as a special guest at many churches across the state.
Pastor Bobby’s ministry, Alive in Christ Ministries, is an evangelistic ministry dedicated to spreading the light of the Gospel of the glory of Jesus Christ. He is in the process of developing 90-day Christ-centered drug and alcohol camps (Alive in Christ’s Project Oasis). He has begun Adult Intervention meetings in several cities. He also offers Teen Intervention meetings and Family Support meetings.
Pastor Bobby has written two books, Created in His Image and Alive in Christ. He has a daily radio program in Augusta, GA; Greenville, SC; and Asheville, NC. He has been interviewed on TV programs in Charlotte, NC; Greenville, SC; North Augusta, SC; and Florence, SC.
Pastor Bobby is willing to share his talents with churches and pastors anywhere needed. He is a dynamic speaker and organizer. He looks forward to helping churches with revivals, workshops, and setting up Intervention meetings for their communities.
