af•fect•ing \?-'fek-ti?, a-\ adjective: evoking a strong emotional response
change \'chanj\ verb to make radically different : TRANSFORM c: to give a different position, course, or direction, to pass from one phase to another, to undergo transformation, transition
Change. It is a word that strikes fear in the heart of man. In today’s society change is inevitable. New technology makes us toss the old phone, computer and television. New job opportunities move us to new, uncharted courses. Change has now become as normal as staying the same.
Affecting. Effecting? No, affecting. A strong response. Our emotions are stirred when we are affected. Being affected moves us. It moves us on.
Affecting Change is about moving us to a place where we are motivated enough to make a difference for the Kingdom—to see how the world is changing around us and desire to impact it.
This is about deliberately moving the church to a place of transition, a new place, where our hearts are postured toward wanting to make the decisions necessary to be culturally relevant. This is more than adding another worship service or developing a church logo. This is seeing the world and desperately wanting to be a part of God’s purpose.
Come join us, not to be taught, but to be moved.
