Fall Disaster Relief training will he held on October 9 and 10, 2009 at Ashley River Baptist Church in Charleston, South Carolina. Registration begins June 1, 2009.

The Disaster Relief Training Conference is for persons willing to give of their time and energy to help others that are in crisis. You will learn how to respond to people in a time of crisis. Your response will allow others to see Jesus in you through your loving response to their needs. Training is required to go on a deployment with any disaster relief team.
South Carolina Disaster Relief (SCDR) currently has over 6,000 trained volunteers and is supported by 124 units. South Carolina has served in many disasters since its inception in 1989, most notably the 9/11 attack in New York and the Hurricane Katrina response.
The Fall Disaster Relief will be held at Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Highway, Charleston, South Carolina 29407. Registration will begin June 1, 2009. If you wish to stay overnight, you will need to make your own accommodations.

Cost: $20.00 for returning volunteers

Disaster Relief hat, pins, ID card, and materials.
