The mission of Compass Church is to be a church for baby boomers entering a new chapter of life — a transformational church community that demonstrates the love of God to all by the proclamation of the gospel in a relational environment.

Compass church is a church community that loves God because of the Gospel, loves people toward the Gospel and restores our community and the nations with the Gospel.

On June 5, 2016 the Compass Church Launch Team started meeting for the purpose of establishing a strong team of believers to walk together in the work of the Lord. During this time we have become one in faith and vision for what God is going to do through Compass Church. Each one is taDr. Gary Lee and wife Marilyn, Compass Churchking a personal part in sharing Christ and the vision of Compass Church in the community.

More About Compass Church

Compass Church is a recent church plant in the Cane Bay Plantation area of Summerville, SC. It came into existence through the shared vision of the Elders of The Church of Cane Bay and Dr. Gary Lee. The church recognized that a whole segment of people in the community where not being reached — a population that Dr. Lee saw that God had placed him in.

As it began, the new community of Compass Church attracted a large group of people who had entered a later chapter of life, baby boomers. Through much prayer and research on outreach to baby boomers, it was apparent that there were classes or fellowships for “classics,” but no churches dedicated to baby boomers. God placed a calling on the heart of Dr. Lee to reach out to this community through planting Compass Church.
