BCMISSIONS SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES 2018

Love Goes Info

Want to give your summer break to the glory of God?  Ready to step out in faith and to trust Jesus to do big things with your witness?  Then BCMissions 2018 is for you.  BCMissions is filled with diverse opportunities for college students to serve with Jesus here, there, and everywhere.

As you read through the 2018 mission opportunities, keep a few things in mind:

  1. Ask God to open your eyes, ears, and heart to where he wants to send you.
  2. Look honestly at your gifts, experiences, and passions.  Check to see if your passions line up with any of the mission descriptions in this booklet.  Ask God to soften your heart and to send you where He knows is best for you – wherever that might be!
  3. Review the mission opportunities, mandatory dates and application information below.  Work with your BCM director, collegiate minister or pastor to pray through your decision.

2018 BCMissions Summer Opportunities

SCBCM 1 – Andes Village Trekkers // Peru // Short-Term - May 12 - 26

There is a great need for students to serve in the small village town of Mara, high in the Andes Mountains. Among the 4,000 people in the area, there are only 10-15 believers meeting in a house church. Because most of the people come from a rich oral tradition and culture, your form of communicating the Good News is through oral strategies, including Bible narratives and other oral arts. You will be intentionally trained to serve the people of Mara by sharing Bible narratives as you help them with their daily trades. You’ll be serving with a team leader who has experience in ministry in that location and will guide your team’s work.  You are going to share hope and look for the next generation of leaders to grow and multiply the church.
