The heart of South Carolina Baptist churches is to share Christ with the world, and then to disciple new believers who have made Christ their personal Lord and Savior.  Coming alongside each church is the South Carolina Baptist Convention staff who seeks to partner, coach, resource, equip, and assist in any way possible.  The Communications & Mission Development team is just one of the ways the convention staff has been organized to help.  Producing podcasts, providing bi-weekly e-updates, thematic quarterly magazines, multiple Web sites, online learning opportunities, and on and on the list goes.  This team also works with research and the promotion of Cooperative Program Missions (one of the significant ways South Carolina Baptist churches partner together in mission endeavors).  In addition to the direct work with the churches, this team also supports the convention staff with various communication and promotion resources.
